In a long-awaited strategic move, a major project has been launched to connect Yalova–Altınova with several key areas including Karamürsel, Gölcük, Başiskele, Kartepe, and İzmit. This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening infrastructure and alleviating traffic congestion across the region.
Starting from Karamürsel
The work has officially begun in Karamürsel – Fulacık neighborhood with soil studies and geological drilling operations. The project goes beyond improving traffic flow; it also aims to boost economic activity and enhance the region’s logistics capabilities.

- 8 major intersections with overpasses
- 6 district entry junctions
- 45 bridges
- 6 tunnels
- 13 viaducts
Yalova Section: A Leap in Infrastructure
In the Yalova section, the project will include:
- 7 viaducts
- 3 major tunnels, most notably:
- T1 Tunnel: 942 meters at the Yalova junction
- T2 Tunnel: 1,045 meters
Additionally, the viaducts in Elmalık, Gacık, Laledere, and Çukurköy will play a vital role in reducing traffic congestion and ensuring smoother mobility.
