MUSIAD Expo 2024: Global Business Collaboration in Istanbul

The Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MUSIAD) opened the 20th edition of the MUSIAD Expo 2024 on Tuesday, with global participation. The exhibition aims to reach a trade volume of one billion dollars through meetings between businessmen and companies.

The exhibition will be held between November 26 th-29 th at the Tuyap Exhibition and Congress Center in Istanbul, Türkiye , with the participation of businessmen, industrialists and investors from 88 countries, in addition to more than 300 companies from 24 sectors, according to a previous statement by the association.

The opening session on Tuesday was attended by Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, in addition to Trade Minister Omar Bolat and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, as well as participants in the exhibition.

During the opening session, MUSIAD Chairman Mahmut Asmali said: "Türkiye has been at the center and heart of trade and on the Silk Road throughout history, and since the association was established, we have realized the importance of the role we have in trade, and therefore we are organizing the 20th exhibition this year." The spokesman added: "We said that the heart of world trade beats from here, and there are many participating sectors that we are happy to meet with each other, and it is not only to talk about trade, but about our common history and values ​​and to set joint plans for the future."


Asmali continued: "We are all trying to implement the spirit of the city's trade, which is a guide to humanity, partnership, trust and security, and that is why we seek to meet investors on the basis of justice and equality, so there will not only be cooperation in work, but also laying the foundations for future cooperation."


The head of "MUSIAD" added: "We are expecting more than 10,000 visitors from 115 countries, and there are large delegations from Iraq, Algeria, Malaysia and others, and the association operates in 83 countries through activities and events around the world," noting that the goal is to achieve a trade volume of one billion dollars by the end of the exhibition.


Asmali concluded by saying: "When we become stronger and united, our voice becomes louder, and we must produce our  goods and support the boycott, as in the drone sector, for example, Turkey has begun to produce them and does not need them from abroad."


In turn, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz stressed that his country is implementing the medium-term program with determination, noting that its essence is to reduce high inflation.


In his speech during the opening session, Yilmaz explained that the main goal of economic management is to reduce inflation sustainably to single digits and ensure price stability, growth and fair income distribution.


​​​​The speaker stated that the exhibition and forum will contribute to economic cooperation and prosperity at the regional and international levels by paving the way for new cooperation and investments.


Yilmaz conveyed the greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wishes for success to the participants, congratulating the "MUSIAD" Association on its success in organizing the exhibition and forum, which has become a tradition for contributing to the economy.


It is worth noting that the "MUSIAD" Association was founded in Istanbul in 1990 by Turkish businessmen, and the association aims to encourage Turkish businessmen to expand their businesses abroad, in addition to providing opportunities to develop themselves and establish partnerships with international organizations.
